Leprechaun Tag

Equipment: 3 Green Frisbees (taggers), 6 greet stars or sports to put on the floor (lucky charms), 9 Big orange cones (Forest to zig zag through), 2 double stacked cones with 2 hurdles (to make a rainbow) or Hula Hoops to run through, bucket of small balls (gold), incline crash pad (mountain), 2 regular mats, empty crate to put the gold in.  

1.      3 Students with the green Frisbees are the leprechaun taggers. 

2.      Put out the green spots on the floor scattered around.  These are the free spaces and when students are standing on these (lucky charms) they cannot be tagged.  If someone wants to go on a spot and there is someone else on it, they must say, “Top of the Morning” and the other student must leave the lucky charm.

3.      If a student is tagged by a leprechaun, they must zig zag through the forest (cones) and get 1 piece of gold (from crate) which is sitting on top of the mountain.  After getting the gold, students to the rainbow and go under it to the “pot of gold” (empty crate) and put their gold into this crate.  They can then go back and rejoin the game. 

4.      Change leprechauns every few minutes or when the gold is all moved.
